It’s about “community.”  What makes community?  Research has shown that communities with social capital, or those who invest in the notion of connection-- groups, gatherings, and meetings, find themselves greater equipped to deal with a variety of complex social and infrastructural issues.  Drake Park Munch & Music is designed to provide area families a robust opportunity to gather, build community and enjoy the arts and outstanding food and free music once a week.  Our mission is additionally to provide safe opportunities for youth to gather, work and volunteer.  It is our intent to accomplish all of this in a way that is completely respectful of the adjacent neighborhood.
